SDKs

Every VAIF Studio feature is an HTTP endpoint, so any language can use the REST API directly. The SDKs wrap those endpoints: they add typed queries, sign-in that refreshes itself, resumable uploads and realtime subscriptions.

You are building Use
A web app, a Node.js server or an edge function @vaifstudio/client
A React app @vaifstudio/react with @vaifstudio/client
A React Native or Expo app @vaifstudio/expo with @vaifstudio/client
A backend in Python The Python SDK
A backend in Go, an iOS or macOS app, or a Flutter app The Go, Swift or Dart page says whether the client can be installed yet; until it can, call the REST API
Scripts, CI jobs and schema changes The CLI
An AI coding tool working on your project The MCP server

These packages share one release line and are tested together. The version in each row is read from the package itself.

Each page above shows the client’s current state. A page shows an install command only while the client can be installed.

  • @vaif/client, @vaif/react, @vaif/auth, @vaif/expo, @vaif/cli and @vaif/mcp are earlier names of the packages above. Move to the @vaifstudio names: the API is the same.
  • @vaiftech/client is retired. See Migrating from @vaiftech/client.
